1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to DIR Network, its websites, platform, and related digital services. It is a general privacy policy that is separate from the Terms and Conditions, verification procedures, and any agreements that apply to specific services or roles within the network.

2. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use the platform, information we process may include:

  • Account information such as name, email address, phone number, country, and profile information.
  • Membership, roles, permissions, and verification information you provide when using the platform verification processes.
  • Business information such as products, services, requests, invoices, referrals, commissions, teams, contacts, and relationship-management records.
  • Content you create or submit, such as messages, tickets, attachments, reviews, surveys, and feedback.
  • Technical and usage information such as IP address, device and browser type, session data, security logs, activity, visits, and events needed to operate, improve, and protect the platform.

3. How We Use Information

We use information as needed to provide, manage, and protect DIR services, including to:

  • Create and manage accounts and provide features available for the relevant membership type and permissions.
  • Operate the catalog, CRM, referrals, teams, invitations, messaging, invoicing, verification, and related features.
  • Send notifications, service messages, security notices, and communications needed to complete user-requested actions.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access, and investigate technical or security issues.
  • Analyze platform usage, measure performance, and improve user experience, products, and operations.

4. Contacts and CRM Data

Some DIR features allow members to add or import contacts and use them for relationship management, referrals, and invitations. Members must only add, import, or share information they have a lawful basis to use and must respect the privacy of those individuals and applicable law.

Contact data does not become the property of DIR Network. We process it to operate features requested by the member and for security, support, and recordkeeping related to legitimate platform activities.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information only as necessary in the following circumstances:

  • With parties involved in a business process, referral, or team when sharing is part of the feature selected by the user.
  • With service and infrastructure providers that help us with hosting, email, storage, security, support, and operations, subject to appropriate data-protection obligations.
  • When disclosure is required by law or needed to protect DIR, its users, or platform security.

We do not sell personal information simply to generate revenue from selling it as data.

6. Third-Party Services and Integrations

DIR may offer integrations with third-party services selected by the user. When an integration is enabled, we will request only the permissions needed for the stated feature, and processing by the third party may also be governed by that provider’s privacy policy.

If a Google or Gmail integration is enabled in the future, Google user data will be used only to provide the feature authorized by the user, and the requested permissions and use will be explained before connection. DIR does not require users to enter their Google password into the platform to enable OAuth.

7. Cookies, Sessions, and Devices

The platform uses cookies or similar technologies needed for sign-in, session protection, preference storage, and user experience. Device and session information may also be used to detect unusual activity and protect accounts.

8. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and security obligations, preserve legitimate business records, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type and purpose of the record.

When account deletion is requested, information that no longer has a legitimate retention purpose may be deleted or de-identified, while certain historical records may be retained for accounting, disputes, fraud prevention, transaction evidence, or legal obligations.

9. Information Security

We apply technical and organizational controls intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss, including access controls, session protection, security logs, and verification procedures. No Internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security, so we continue to review and improve our controls.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law and the relevant information, your rights may include:

  • Request access to, correction of, or updates to your information.
  • Manage available privacy, communication, and notification settings in your account.
  • Request deletion of your account or certain information where permitted by law and operational obligations.
  • Object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable law provides that right.

11. International Data Transfers

DIR Network serves users and markets in more than one country, and some hosting, support, or service-provider operations may involve processing information in different countries. Where this occurs, we seek to use appropriate safeguards consistent with relevant legal requirements.

12. Children’s Privacy

DIR services are intended for business and professional use and are not directed to children. If we learn that a child’s information was collected in a way that does not comply with applicable law, we will review the situation and take appropriate action.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy when services, legal requirements, or data practices change. We will update the version date on this page and may use an in-platform notice when a change is material.

14. Privacy Contact

If you have a question or request concerning your privacy or personal information, you can contact DIR Network through the official support channels available in the platform or the contact information published on DIR official websites.
